Key Takeaways
- Miley Cyrus premiered a brand-new, yet very Hannah Montana-core blonde hair color over the weekend.
- She wore the hair down in natural waves one day and thrown back in a ponytail the next.
It’s a known fact that Miley Cyrus was born with “it.” She’s an It girl and the face of Maybelline, after all. She came into this world with beauty and talent and general pizzazz.
One thing she wasn’t born with, though? Blonde hair. The good news is she looks gorgeous as a natural brunette, and when it’s time to lighten things up, she has her wigs for the Hannah Montana effect. Or, if she wants to be more recognizable, a great colorist at the ready to transform her fully.

Over the weekend, the singer celebrated the launch of the new Maybelline Serum Lipstick at the iconic Bar Marmont in Los Angeles. Ever the star, she showed up in a plunging black Mugler jacket with her eyes shimmering, lips nude, and hair blonde.
The new shade was crafted by California’s resident king of color transformations, Jacob Schwartz. Armed with his suite of Schwarzkopf formulas, he developed a dynamic light gold tone that I’d go so far as to say was Hannah-core. A far cry from the fully bleached or two-tone platinum shades Cyrus has rocked in the last few years, this blonde was softer but still bright. It featuerd softly woven highlights that, again, made it scream “maybe she’s born with it.”
Miley Cyrus’ Waves
Cyrus’ hair was styled for the event by Bobby Eliot, who played up her natural waves by keeping her long locks down and middle parted for peak textured face framing. There was plenty of volume to go around, but no bangs—we’re meeting Miley here, not Hannah.

On Sunday, Eliot once again saw his client for the Vogue World: Hollywood 2025 event. He worked her blonde hair into a low ponytail and added an outfit-matching (she was wearing a belted YSL leather trench) hat, making sure a few strands peeked out up front.
Pictures and autographs… she gets her face in all the magazines…
The best part is that she get to be whoever she wants to be.
